***Important Sewer Billing Update for City of Bethlehem Water Customers***
Due to changes made by the City of Bethlehem to their meter routes, your current sewer bill reading date may not match your current water bill reading date. The information the City of Bethlehem supplies the Township is now up to three (3) to five (5) months behind what they may be currently billing for water consumption. In most cases you will need to look at your prior City of Bethlehem water bill to match your read dates and consumption usage with your Township sewer bill.
Sewer bills are mailed quarterly, and are due 30 days after the mailing date. If it has been more than 90 days since the receipt of your last bill, please contact the Finance Office to check your billing status.
Please note: FAILURE TO RECEIVE YOUR SEWER BILL DOES NOT RELIEVE YOU OF THE RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY YOUR SEWER CHARGES.
We will only mail bills to the homeowner. If you have arrangements with a tenant to pay the sewer charges, it is your responsibility to forward the sewer bill to your tenant for payment.
Sewer bills are calculated via the consumption method, which uses your water consumption for a given time period and calculates sewer usage for that same time period. Depending on your water source, we use the consumption figures provided by your municipal water supplier, or we read the meter which monitors your water supply.
