License/Permit Required
No person shall engage in the business of peddling or soliciting within the Township without first obtaining a license/permit.
Exceptions
License Application
An application for a license/permit must be filed with the Chief of Police.
License Issuance and Fees
Upon receipt of an application properly prepared and accompanied by the appropriate license fee, as established from time to time by resolution, the Township Police Chief shall issue a license.
Exhibit of Licensee’s Compliance with Terms of License
Prohibited Times
No licensee shall engage in peddling or soliciting at any time on Sundays or holidays, or upon any other day of the week before 9:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m. prevailing time.
Penalties
Up to $300.00 fine plus court costs, or up to 90 days in jail.
Business Privilege License
Bethlehem Township contracts with Berkheimer Associates to administer our Business Privilege Licenses and Taxes. Any questions about Business Privilege (policies, procedures, forms, etc.) should be directed to Berkheimer Associates at 1-800-360-8989.
All businesses located within Bethlehem Township require Business Privilege Licenses. If you are operating a business that uses your home address as the business address, but you have not received a Business Privilege License Application for the current year, please contact
Berkheimer Associates for an application.
Bicycles/Pedalcycles License
For person who reside in Bethlehem Township, it is unlawful to ride a bicycle/pedalcycle upon any street, sidewalk or designated paths for exclusive use of pedalcycles without having said pedalcycle registered and licensed by the Township.
Where do I register my Bike?
Applications for bicycle/pedalcycle registration can be made at the police department on a form provided by the Township. A registration fee of $1.00 is required.
How long is my registration good for?
The license sticker shall be affixed to the bicycle and will be good for one year starting June 01 of that year and expiring on May 31 of the following year.
Licenses must be renewed annually on or before June 01.

Dogs over 6 months old are required to be licensed and have a collar with the license tag.
