Trash & Recycling

Bethlehem Township Trash & Recycling Although the Township does not provide trash or recycling services, we do provide each resident with a 20 gallon Rubbermaid recycling container for use by your private hauler. They are available for pick-up at the Bethlehem Township Municipal Building, 4225 Easton Avenue, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday except holidays. Please contact your hauler for specific recycling or trash removal services questions.

If your container is stolen, blown away, or you require an additional container, it may be purchased at a cost of $12.00.

Yard Waste Recycle Center
The Bethlehem Township Yard Waste Recycle Center located on Falmer Drive (south of Skateaway) will be open to receive yard waste (tree branches, shrub trimmings) Leaves and grass clippings will not be accepted. You will be responsible for unloading your own material.

Additionally, leaf mulch and wood chips will be available for pick-up. Please bring your own container for loading material.

Hours of operation:
Monday - Noon to 4 PM
Wednesday - Noon to 4 PM
Friday - Noon to 4 PM
Saturday - 10 AM to 3 PM
Sunday - 1 PM to 4 PM

  • All visitors must wear a mask or face covering to enter site. If you do not have a mask or face covering you will be directed to leave.
  • Visitors will be asked to provide their address.
  • No commercial vehicles allowed. (landscapers, etc.)
  • The number of vehicles allowed to enter the site at any one time will be limited by staff as necessary to maintain social distance rules.
  • All persons entering site must follow social distancing rules and keep at least 6 feet separation from all persons.

Week day hours may be shortened or eliminated due to inclement weather. Call the Public Works Office to determine if the facility will be open during bad weather on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Weekend hours will only be effected during snow events.

Proof required such as drivers license, water bill, etc.

  • Logs up to 12 inch diameter (All waste must be cut into 4 foot lengths or shorter)

Residents must unload their own materials and empty any containers. Any bags or containers must be removed by the resident.

Wheels For Wishes
Wheels For Wishes is a car donation program benefiting Make-A-Wish® Pennsylvania and West Virginia. We are proud to offer an easy way to recycle or donate unwanted cars, trucks, motorcycles, SUVs, RVs, or even boats, by turning them into a wish for a local child.




Vehicles For Veterans
Vehicles For Veterans is a nonprofit car donation program that benefits disabled veterans with the proceeds from donated vehicles. You can help disabled veterans by donating a car, truck, boat, RV, ATV or motorcycle, whether the vehicle runs or not. Your vehicle donation helps support veterans’ programs that provide strength and encouragement to the disabled veterans who have served our country.

Latex Paint Recycling Collection Events
There will be no mobile Latex Paint Collection events. Drop-off appointments at the ReStore location can be scheduled by calling 610-776-7499. Confirmed appointments will be on the first Tuesday of each month. Latex paint is not hazardous and will not be accepted at Household Waste Collection events. Unusable paint can be dried out and disposed of as trash.
