Seasonal Public Works Employees
Bethlehem Township is now accepting applications for seasonal public works employees.
Several openings available, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for 12 weeks over summer, outdoor manual labor, cutting grass, clearing brush and weeds, landscaping, other duties as assigned.
All candidates must be 18 years of age, possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license, and pass background checks.
Pay rate is $15 per hour.

Assistant Finance Director
Professional accounting, administrative, and supervisory work in busy municipal government office. Conducts all township financial activities accurately, timely, and effectively in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles and sound business practices.
Supervises personnel in the functional areas of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, utility billing, cash receipts, and payroll processing. Duties include account reconciliations, cash management, accounting for various funds, monthly financial reports, year-end reports, financial analysis, and audit preparation. The work requires that the employee have considerable knowledge, skill, and ability in all phases of accounting. Auxiliary duties will include grants management process; planning, budgeting, writing, submitting, and tracking.
Required education and experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, public administration or a related field, plus responsible accounting experience including relevant supervisory experience.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Full-Time Financial Clerk
New full-time employment opportunity with Bethlehem Township Bethlehem Township has an immediate opening for a full-time financial clerk. The township will train the right individual to assist with accounts payable/receivable; general ledger; and all areas of local government financial operations. Duties also include responding to mail, phone, and over-the-counter requests; preparing, calculating, and maintaining records and forms; cross-training to assist in other departments as needed; and providing excellent customer service at all times.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include fiscal clerical principles and practices; accurate maintenance and reconciliation of financial records; use of latest office technology. Requirements: High school diploma plus one year of clerical experience involving fiscal responsibilities.
