Community Development Staff

Planning The Community Development Department includes planning, zoning, construction officials and the fire marshal's office.

Community Development Director
Amanda Jensen oversees operations of the Planning, Zoning and Construction Department and assists the Township in drafting and administering land use and zoning plans / documents. Amanda is also designated as the Township's Building Code Official (BCO).

Commercial Construction Official
Frank Krempasky, the Commercial Construction Official, provides commercial / industrial plan review and inspections. He is also the Township's Certified Building Official.

Fire Marshal / Emergency Management Coordinator
Angela Kelly enforces the Township's Fire Prevention Code, which requires the periodic inspection of all commercial and industrial uses in the Township, and assists building officials in fire code related matters. Angela also assists in commercial building inspections, completes all plan review for fire protection / detection systems, investigates all fires for cause and origin, and performs all emergency management duties and responsibilities.

Residential Construction Official
Randy Gillespie, the Residential Construction Official, provides residential plan review and inspections.

Zoning Officer / Staff Planner
Samantha Smith administers the Zoning Ordinance and serves as manager and liaison to the Township's Zoning Hearing Board. Samantha also assists in the research and preparation of information for a variety of zoning and planning issues.

Property Maintenance & Code Inspector
Aaron Stasiw enforces the International Property Maintenance Code and performs all residential re-sale and rental inspections. Aaron addresses all property maintenance complaints as well.

Clerk
Erika Soto processes all permits and submittals to the Department. Erika is also a contact person for anyone at the permit counter in the municipal building.
