Community Development Staff

Planning The Community Development Department includes Planning, Zoning, Construction Officials and the Fire Marshal's office.

Community Development Director
The Community Development Director oversees operations of the Planning, Zoning and Construction Department and assists the Township in drafting and administering land use and zoning plans / documents.

Commercial Construction Official
The Commercial Construction Official provides commercial / industrial plan review and inspections and serves as the Township's Building Code Official.

Fire Marshal / Emergency Management Coordinator
The Fire Marshal enforces the Township's Fire Prevention Code, which requires the periodic inspection of all commercial and industrial uses in the Township. The Fire Marshal also assists building officials in fire code related matters, commercial building inspections, completes all plan review for fire protection / detection systems and investigates all fires for cause and origin. The Fire Marshal serves as Emergency Management Coordinator.

Residential Construction Official
The Residential Construction Official provides residential plan review and inspections.

Zoning Officer
The Zoning Officer administers the Zoning Ordinance and serves as manager and liaison to the Township's Zoning Hearing Board, assists in the research, preparation of information for a variety of zoning and planning issues. The Zoning Officer also serves as the Building Code Official.

Code Enforcement Official
The Code Enforcement Official enforces the International Property Maintenance Code, performs all residential re-sale and rental inspections and addresses all property maintenance complaints.

Clerk
The Clerk processes all permits and submittals to the department.
